Teaching the art of presence through analog photography
and mindfulness practice.

The art of slowing down.

We live in a digital world operating at maximum speed. We scroll and consume at a pace that is robbing us of our attention and erodes the capacity to focus. Today, as a certified mindfulness teacher and visual artist, I combine these disciplines to offer a remedy for digital burnout.

These square compositions require a physical bowing of the head to look through the waist-level viewfinder. They represent slowing down, deliberate choices, and the gravity of stillness.

About Me

A person wearing a bucket hat taking a photo of their reflection in a mirror, with a window in the background and a plant in the foreground.

My work exists at the intersection of technology, visual art, and mindfulness practices. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Photography, I have spent my career working in the commercial industry. Later, as a Creative at Apple, I focused on teaching how to use technology for creative purposes through group workshops. I learned firsthand how modern technology can amplify our art—and exactly how it can lead to cognitive exhaustion, screen fatigue, and burnout. To build a sustainable path forward, I returned to the intentional presence of traditional mediums and mindfulness practices. I spent my time learning under David Nichtern to be able to instruct mindfulness meditation. In my recent years I traveled to Thailand and deepened my practice under the eyes of wonderful Buddhist monks who have kept the tradition of meditation alive.

Analog photography serves as my mindfulness practice. It cannot be rushed; it demands that we measure the light, trust our instincts, and remain entirely in the present.
